Hi,I will be moving into a new in a couple of weeks.
Our new living room 14 X 18 which also opens up to a kitchen. What can i do for the hsu vtf-1?. Should i bye a sub dude or a small rug to put it under the sub? im new to hard wood floors so i need some tips. Im also concern about sound quality, will the hard wood floors have a big compact of the sound quality? oh,will my 10" vtf have any issues filling the room with power bass in this "big space"?

Hi LazyMarc11, I don't think that you may experiment decrease in sound quality on hard floors. I'm a VTF-1 owner in hard floors and the only think that I use is a simple black rug under the sub(you can se it in my post). This sub is specialized for 3000 qf. Once you have well calibrated your system, don't worry about it.
I suggets to you to use an SPL Meter. Good luck...:)

If you want to get techy, check out the Aralex website. Their stuff is great.
