With M3 placement directly behind couch will sound be direction 80 /w 80hz crossover?

Where is the level where sub noise is directional? I am planning a nearfield placement of the Mark 3 directly behind main listening position. If I set my sub crossover to 80hz will any of the sound be directional or sound messed up?

shouldnt be, sound gets directional around 100hz. 80 is the crossover the majority of owners use, if possible, and the THX standard.
