Well folks,
On the 28th of this month is my 1 year anniversary being in the Hsu family. I received my Walnut Uls-15 Dual Drive a year ago. I ordered on the 24th (my birthday) and they arrived 4 days later. You all know who I am from my postings. I believe that these subs should be at the top of anybodies list for their ability to accurately represent music and the capable output to play bass below 20 Hz for movies. I remember another previous owner of these subs who I believe came up with the best adjective for the way they sound. They give bass notes texture.
I have had so much fun with these subs. I have revisited a lot of my older collection of movies to enjoy them in a new way which I never thought was possible. Some of the newer movies that have been enjoyable with these subs has been Law Abiding Citizen, The Hurt Locker, Monsters vs. Aliens and of course Avatar that all had scenes in them that made my wife and I jump or grin at what the ULS-15s are capable of. Video concerts are still my favorite way to make these puppies shine. I have mine on Auto startup, so my Velodynes kick in first at lower listening levels and as I turn up the volume then the Hsu’s turn on and here comes that texture and fuller sound that I spoke of earlier.
I have had zero issues with the sub. No bottoming out, no running out of steam and no funny sounds coming from them. One day I thought they did bottom out but realized that it was a vase that is sitting on top of my left speaker that started to rattle. I have also since heard the VTF-3 MK3 at another member’s house, while in Nashville, and was impressed with what I heard from that sub. So I just wanted to thank the great ppl here at Hsu including a big shout out to Pete and Dr Hsu for such a fine product that they offer. I can completely and confidently recommend the ULS-15 Dual Drive systems without hesitation to family and friends and others on the web. If I am in the market in the future I would gladly by another product from Hsu.
Later.

Congrats to you! I am very jealous of you for such fine subs. I own the VT2.3 and quite satisfied with it. I would love to see and hear what your theater feels like. Enjoy!

Hi HTG,
I'm still working away on my "project".:o
It's great that you have been enjoying your ULS 15's for a year now.
I love your setup, I got started around the same time as you and had the Lazer Disc's and rear projection setup (37") back in 84.
Have a Great Day!
