Looking for more vtf-2 pictures

I'm confused about the finish on the vtf-2.

These pictures seem to be off black with black textures: http://www.liquidtheater.com/editorials/89

The pictures from the pdf seem very grainy: http://www.hsuresearch.com/vtf2.pdf

I'm thinking it has to do with lighting and reflection, so I'm asking for people to post pictures of vtf-2's at various angles. I'm afraid they wont be clean enough looking to match the maple Axioms: http://www.axiomaudio.com/img/prodpics/M60MapleGrillOnRight.jpg

The first picture you listed is the correct one for the current VTF-2. The other picture from the Hsu manual is the older finish (not used on any Hsu product anymore). The current finish is clean looking black paint just like big companies. The VTF-2 finish in the near future may become even more luxurious, we will know more details in the next month I imagine.

Ok, that's good news. When did Hsu start using the current finish? I ask because I'm looking at a used sub that's 2 years old. I'll ask the seller too.

I think you should get a picture of the subwoofer from the seller, because if it is 2 years old it probably has the older speckled finish.

Other options are to look at the new STF-1 or new STF-2. Price is $299 and $399 respectively. For the people who preorder, shipping is free (and I believe that the credit card does not get charged until the product is shipped, so little to lose by preordering).

The new finish is rather new. My VTF-2 is only a year old and has the more textured finish.
