My room size is 11'x14'x9' and opens up one side to a 10'x9'x9' room.

The 2.3 fills the area without a struggle it seems and is surprisingly musical even in extended mode. I haven't even calibrated it yet and it sounds like a perfect match with my Axiom M60s.

It is very big though, but gives my system a very serious audiophile look :).

Congratulations! You will love that sub. I to was surprised at the size of this sub. You can read the measurements and try to imagine, but have no idea till you actually get it. But defiantly take the time to get it calibrated.

Yeah, it is basically a coffee table.

I love it though. I can't believe I got this kind of quality for that price. I knew it would be cool for HT, but I'm very surprised how musical it is. My Axiom M60's have always sounded so detailed, but always seem to lack that strong air moving base I tend to enjoy ... no problem now. :)

Which mode is the most musical from your experience?

Which mode is the most musical from your experience?

Max output. I'll probably leave it there because I'd rather have more accurate to 25hz then deep to 18Hz. Music is playing even during movies so its a matter of a very infrequent dip below 25hz sounding accurate or a very frequent visit between 80-25hz that will be tighter. Just makes more sense to have what will be playing most as the selection.

Perhaps after I get my surrounds and DVD I'll spring for the MBM-12 and have the best of both worlds.

I have had the 2.3 for a few months now and I agree that the mx output mode is best for music unless you are seeking to tackle the deep organ music in some tracks. I like the max output for most things but at times I toss in the deep bass and plug it up and shake the home a little while! Did some testing the other night and wasn't getting the deep shaking I was used to and thought I messed up something and low an behold... plug was out and it was set to 25Hz. Flipped that puppy to 18Hz and crammed that bad boy in there and voila - instant subsonic sound! Enjoy the monster my friend!!!

I got my Avia DVD and radio shack meter from SVS, but I'm lost as can be. I'm a little surprised as I usually can tackle technical stuff pretty easy, but I found the Avia DVD of very little value.

I'm gonna have to get some help with using this stuff as I am clueless. I'm very disappointed I paid $88.

What part are you having difficultly with? I loaned out my Avia disk but I think I remember all the main menus. Feel free to ask any questions.
