Hello:

I heard a VTF-3r at a friends place last week. My wife gave the looks of the unit a huge thumbs up.

I have been waiting for information on the new models and reading here ever since.

After seeing the various threads on other forums and the zealots for other brands reaction to Hsu proponent's honest comments, I humbly suggest a name change for the new series coming out.

NOT STF-1 etc, how about STFU-1 etc?

I dont want any royalties or anything - maybe a discount? ;)

LOL!

Hsu Research has always believed that they should let the product do the talking instead of a marketing team. Interesting. :D

I currently have a Cerwin-Vega 10 (something) sub in my TV room that my wife just hates. We are building a new home and am looking to setup my room. Well, its the family room but I get one wall.

Music is my main concern with TH a distant second. My receiver is a new Yamaha RX-V 2400. Von Schweikert VR-1 Bookshelfs have been ordered for the fronts.

I listened to Velodyne (not the DD stuff), JBL, B&W, Boston and a few other brands. I never have gotten to hear SVS, ACI, Rockets etc.

So far I liked the B&W best in a local shop, and the VTF-3r that I heard at a friends room. He also had nice new B&Ws all around except for the sub. That spoke volumes to me as he appeared to spare no expense in his system.

My wife approved the VTF-3r so thats what I am going to order next. Although the STFU-3 might be my first choice just so I could post something like this...

Q: Are SVS (insert other brands at will) really the best subs out there?
A: Hmm good question, I went with Dr. Hsu, STFU ....-3.:D
