To cut to the chase: wow. :) I love this sub.
Deep, solid, clean, tight bass. It fills my basement. I thought I would need two subs in this room, but now, I don't think so. I really like the sound of the VTF-3. It's paired with four Paradigm CS-160's and the CS-LCR center in-wall speakers.
The unit is a tad larger than I had anticipated, but that's okay. It sounds great. I haven't tweaked anything yet. Just running the Integra DTR-20.1 in default mode, which I believe uses 100 hertz as the crossover point, so I'm bypassing the sub's crossover. I'm using the deeper base mode (both ports in use with the switch set for deeper base. I like it just fine. And believe me, I'm very particular about my sound. Eventually I'll get around to using the receiver's built-in Audyssy EQ and see what happens. But I'm in no rush.
Very nice sub.
