Hi,
I just got my VTF-3 MK-2 last night and did the tone test with my receiver. I have a Yamaha 1700 and ran it through the auto calibration. Watched part of a movie and noticed the sub wasn't working. I checked the fuse and it is blown. Any ides what kind of fuse this takes? In the manual it says the amp might be damaged, is this a common problem?

Try giving them a call. At the least, you might be able to send back just the amp saving a lot on shipping.

Would that void the warranty, me taking it apart like that?

Not if they give you the ok to do it. I just recieved my VTF-2 Mk3 Wednesday and it was dead out of the box. I got on the phone with them. They had me unscrew the driver and then the amp. Turns out the black wire from the amp wasn't connected. Now, the house is vibrating!
Definately give them a call.

Also sounds like a problem with QC.

QC problem big time. At the very least each sub should be tested to see they work before shipping. After reading this thread guess I,am lucky my 3.2 wasn,t D.O.A.
