How does one go about ordering this? Is it possible to do it online, or do I have to call?
I wouldn't mind getting a VTF 2.3 or 3.2, but they're both out of stock and I'm not interested in max output. Performance/SQ-wise, are the the 2 aforementioned VTFs equivalent to the modded STF-3?

According to Dr. Hsu, they are close when the STF-3 is in max extension. It will cost you an extra $60 to get this modification. Also, having owned the 2.3, I can say with certainty that there is a difference in the sound of MO v/s ME so you will lose that option with and STF. Even though they are out of the 2.3 now doesn't mean you should jump the gun to the STF so you can have it NOW. You have waited a long time already most likely, a few more weeks will only make you appreciate it more! Considering cost of the 2.3 v/s a mod. STF-3, I think you would be happier with the 2.3.

Thanks for the suggestion. My 8-year old sub seems to be dying and I wanted a quick inexpensive replacement. Although the STF 3 and VTF 2.3 and 3.2 should more than adequately fill my room, my ultimate goal is to get an HO for future insurance (I hope to have a dedicated HT come next spring). I would grab one right now, if they were in stock.
The only sub currently in stock is the 3.3 and it's pricey enough, that I can't justify the cost of one (or two) HO on top of it, in less than a year's time.
Can anyone from HSU guestimate on when the HO and/or 2.3/3.2 will become available?
PS. Is there a list of B-stocks anywhere on the web site?

Can anyone comment on how long it usually takes for a sub to ship, when in stock?
