View Full Version : VTF-2 MK 2 vs VTF-1 vs STF-2

these subs have exact same box dimension and very similar power rating. The VTF-2 has 250 vs 200 for the VTF-1 and STF-2. Do all of them have the same driver?

Is VTF-1 in max extension mode identical to the STF-2?

Right now the VTF-2 MK 2 is priced identical to the VTF-1. Any reason to go with the VTF-1 instead of the VTF-2 MK 2?

BTW I have a VTF 3.3 with turbo in the living room and I am looking for a sub for the bedroom.

2.2 is not in stock per the sub page as of this posting date.

I just posted a similar questions inside another thread. I would love to know the answer too!

Just ordered the VTF-2-2MK but it's not going to be available for a month and even then, it's limited so I may not even get one. After that, they are discontinued.

I don't mind waiting (sort of) but if there is something superior in the VTF-1, I may change my order and not have to wait.

I'm shocked that you could still oder a VTF2.2. I tried last month and was told they were no longer selling them. Are you still able to get it for the "sale" price ?

In any event I had the same question as you and decided to get the VTF1. I LOVE IT. Sure it may not move as much air as a 2.3 but now that it's dialed in to my system it plays clean, tight and accurate at way loud levels. You can see the size of my room in my sig. and it can shake the couch pretty well !!

It still tickels my insides watching my wife and son jump outta their seats when the base hits. :p

Everyone will telly you that the price points bewteen the VTF1 and VTF2.3 are so close that you could save yourslef some mental gymnastics and just go with the 2.3 if your budegt can tolerate it. Mine could not....

I'm still waitng to hear if Dr. Hsu has tried a Turbo out on a VTF1 and if it would be effective as an upgrade in the future.:D
