I won an AVR-635 off ebay yesterday to use as my receiver. This is a quick list of the equipment that I have:

Hitachi 51" HD RPTV
Oppo 971H
Comcast HD DVR Box
Axiom Audio M22's, VP150 and QS8's
HSU VTF3-MKIII
H/K AVR 635

I recently had my house wired for this system and I was looking at where my subwoofer is placed and noticed that they wired it for a coax cable. I see it coming out at the other end for where I need to plug it into the receiver, which has the standard coax connector. The guy left me a "F" Jack to RCA plug. Do I just need another one of these to connect to another coax cable that runs from the wall to my subwoofer?

Youi can use coax for your subwoofer runs. You can either buy F to RCA adapters or you can terminate with RCA coax connectors. The sub will come with RCA inputs. With RG6 cable you can create many of your own custom length cables.

Impact Accoustics makes some nice RCA coax compression connectors:
