For musical material (mostly classical) what are the performance differences between the VTF-3 & the VTF-3 MK 2? Any other significant differences (physical size, connections, etc)?

Both will have similar sound quality at normal listening levels. Connectors and size will be the same, except that the metal spiked feet give the Mk 2 a little more height (about an inch). The main difference will be that the Mk 2 has a little more dynamic headroom. That is, the more powerful amplifier gives it the potential to handle loud peaks a bit better.

What about the outside finish (remembering the all-important spouse acceptance factor)?

a. 350 Watt Bash amp instead of a 250 watt class A/B
b. real piano black finish that takes a week to make, instead of a painted finish,
c. cost of $799 factory direct, instead of $849
d. metal spiked feet instead of plastic feet
e. plexiglass logo that lights up when the subwoofer is on, isntead of removable logo
f. downfiring
Here is a picture. Sasha says the edges will be more rounded.
