Just received my VTF with turbo last night. All I can say is.......ARE YOU FREAK'IN KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!?!? THIS THING ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

I replaced my M&K MX-150M2. In my opinion, the HSU sub kills my old M&K as far as output, power, and clarity. Plus, I paid double for the M&K vs. the HSU.

Thank you Dr. Shu for a great product and wonderful purchase experience!

I'm actually considering returning the turbo. The bass is "crazy!" Almost too much of a good thing!!!!

 NO, don't return the turbo!

Keep it off for regular use, then put it on when you want to blow somebody's socks off.

Interesting comment.

The word I've gotten and read and thereby found is that the turbo amplyfies below 20Hz mostly. Other than organ pipes and very few movies there is very little content in that frequency range. Have you run your sub without turbo? What did you notice? Was it dialed in properly?

Thanx

Wow! I'm surprised you don't think there's a lot of movie content below 20Hz. Here's a thread that's 18 pages long and just about every movie in this thread has content WELL below 20Hz. Heck even movies like finding Nemo have 15Hz bass. The content is there but if you don't have a sub to hear it you'll never know.

OP, Keep the turbo you won't regret it.

Interesting. Thanx. Didn't know about that one. Only thing I can add is that the people I asked, talked to, may not know about this either.

P.S.
I've got a HO and I was thinking of adding a Turbo while within my 30 day window; which by now has passed. Can't win them all.

I picked up my HO/turbo along with 4 hb-1, 1 hc-1 Friday. Besides have some minor marks on the HO:rolleyes: (bought it new), I am very impress!!

I didn't even installed the hb-1 fronts yet (still running velodyne). Haven't even installed the turbo and my wife says too much bass:D .

I am still undecided if I want to get the MBM this week.

I have the HO with Turbo but I'm still not 100% what the main difference with the Turbo on or Off. Does have the Turbo attached give a more uneven frequency response, meaning the below 20hz will be a lot louder than above 20Hz? If so, would it be better to not use the Turbo if I'm looking for a more accurate sound with music? movies?

I have no doubts about the SPL being more than even without it in my room as it is already. And without the Turbo it still plays low enough/just as low, correct?

I know I should experiment for myself as well but curious what others think.
