With the advent of a new VTF-3 Mk II, are there any plans to update the TN series to a Mk II series ?

Just curious...:p

The TNX was suppose to be the next generation of the TN series, it suppose has an inverted layout so that the woofer would be facing the bottom. Plus the woofer was suppose to be all new, with a much bigger magnet structure.

I presume it got pushed back because of the STF & VTF MkII rollout.

I think Sasha has mentioned that once the dust settles on the STF and Mk2 model introductions the variable tuning TN-X will be the next to get finished off. I think like everything that Dr Hsu releases, if its not noticable better performing, or the same performance for less money......he can not see much point in releasing a new model. He might make small unannounced tweaks to existing model along the way but new models need something more special than a small improvements. Look at the TN series and the 6 year model span of the VTF-2 for proof of how long his sub designs stand up to many others who introduce many models yearly and still do not perform as well as even the older Hsu designs.

The variable tuning 25Hz / 20Hz TN-X (VTF like) will no doubt be another trend setting performance sub from Hsu for those who prefer a cylinder subwoofer.
