I recently received a VTF-3 MK3 in Maple, and I am considering staining it a darker color to match my Oak sofa table (under which I plan to place it).
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has stained their sub and who may have advice on how to do so, or who just want to share how it turned out.

You want to stain a vinyl finish on a VTF-3 Mk3? A very bad idea as vinyl doesn't take stain. Why not just re-vinyl it, or better yet, strip the vinyl and apply a real wood veneer?

I had assumed the finish was wood, so thank you for setting me straight RatFarm.
I guess that finishes this thread, eh? :)
