VTF-3 HO/T vs Def Tech Supercube 1

I am having to replace 2 subs due to a lightning strike. I view this as an opportunity to upgrade at minimal out of pocket costs. :D I have a dedicated, HT that is about 19 X 15 with a 10' ceiling. I have a 7.1 system with DT 7006 towers, a DT 2300 cc, and 4 BPX1.2 surrounds. I am thinking of either getting 2 DT supercube 1s or 2 VTF-3HO/Ts. Any thoughts, or is this too much??? It previously had a Mirage BPS-400 which was awesome in it's own right. If I purchase 2 VTF3's can I get a discount? And I was also thinking about getting a Velodyne SMS-1 equalizer with either set of subs. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

THe supercube 1 is no match for an HO.

Absolutely satfam, feel free to give us a call and inquire about pricing for dual subwoofers. On a side note, if you end up getting twin turbos, I would strongly recommend using the MBM-12.

The HO will far outperform the Supercube I below 50Hz. Heck, a single HO will far outperform TWO SC1s below 40Hz.

Simply contact Hsu Research and follow their advice. I e-mailed them a diagram of my room with dimensions, and a picture of the room. I feel their recommendation (one VTF-3 MK3 w/o Turbo) was PERFECT for my room, and for my listening preferences. The Hsu team will give you their sincere and honest opinion of what will work best for you (regardless of the price), they know their subject(s), and they are a pleasure to do business with. If only every company was run as well!
