I would like to get the Ventriloquist VT-12s, but I'm not wired for a center rear. Wiring a center rear would be a major pain, drilling, stringing, cutting drywall, etc. Where does the speaker wire for the center rear come from? Also, what is the dowside if I don't run the center rear?

Also, have you seen the new gateway set up. I believe that is uses these speakers teamed with a sub.

You will be fine without it.
We know about the Gateway pack.

The rear 6th channel is not needed, it is just a nice thing to have with 6 channel systems. If you have a 5 channel system, you can run wire to the rear center from the left and right back rears.

I may be able to do that. Do I need wire from both the backs to the back center, or just one?
