Hello all - I am waiting for my STF-2. like
many others:( , and while I have been waiting, I have perused the forum.
Got a couple questions:
1) Does any test DVD/CD come with
my purchase to help in setup (I am
looking for a Rat Shack analog SLM at
this time also -anyone selling?)
2) IYO, which would be the best to use and where would I get it?
3) Is using the SLM fairly easy to use?
I am a newbie at this and can't believe
all the interesting info on accurately
placing, and adjusting one's sub woofer
Thanks, in advance for any help:p

Sorry, I may not have been clear enough -
but on my question 2 - I meant to ask:
Which DVD/CD test material would be
best to use and where would I get it

1) Unfortunately, No test discs come with the STF line.
2) Unfortunately, I don't have any recommendations for a DVD player for you. Costco has a progressive scan for under $100 that also plays MP3s, but I have no idea how well it works.
3) Please clarify what SLM is.

I think he is asking for suggestions about a test DVD or CD disk, not a DVD player. Since the STF-2 does not come with a test disk, do you have a recommendation for one and where to get it?

Yes, I am looking for a recommendation for a DVD or CD test
disc that I can use for setting up my speaker(s).
SLM is short for sound level meter.
Thankyou all for replying - I have heard mention of an Avia
disc, but don't know what that is or where to get one!
