Hello, I recently purchased a performance 2 package, and had a few questions regarding installation. I'll be running the system with an Onkyo 605 receiver. I have attached an outline of my room, which is 15’ wide, and 18’ long. The couch is angled against the back wall, with the sub behind it (which direction should I point the sub?).
What is the best way to wire the speakers using this receiver? I’m not sure if it has a 6.1 setting, so would I just use it in 5.1? Any other advice with this receiver and speaker setup would be greatly appreciated.
I just read a post regarding banana clips. Is it possible to wire the speakers without banana clips? The satellites will all be wall mounted, so I’m tight on space, and I wasn’t sure if the clips would fit behind the speaker or not. The front center speaker is also going on a mantle, directly below and in front of my TV, so it is very tight on space as well. What would you recommend I do?
Does anyone have any experience with these mounts?

I also was wondering what your impressions are of the following subwoofer cable? I couldn’t find any place in the specifications if this is a shielded cable or not. Would I be better off paying $60 or $80 for a Monster cable?

Previously I have only owned cheap all in one speaker/receiver systems, so I’m very excited to get this setup! Hopefully it lives up to all of the hype I have read.
