What is the maximum number of watts that an amplifier can feed into the HB1 Mk2's? Currently I am running and Emotiva XPA-5, which is about 200 watts per channel into these speakers.
Is it possible to run an XPA-2, which feeds 300 watts RMS at 8 ohms?

I had those same speakers hooked to my XPA-2 with no problems at all. The amp never broke a sweat even at loud levels so I doubt that the watts came anywhere near the maximum output of the amp. The speakers can take the power, too.

good to know thanks,
when I have room for a 7.1 system (currently only running 5.1 due to space limitations) I will buy a Emotiva XPA-2 and have that run my main fronts.

How did the system sound, matching Hsu and Emotiva? Did they have good synergy?

Sounds amazing! The emotiva xpa-5 really brought the hb1-mk2s to life!
