Hey all,

I have my VT-12 in my office, but only 3 channels set up so far. HEY gimme a break - I just got it today and I spent most of the evening cleaning off my desk for this photo ;) Its a bit more near-field than I'm used to, but they are very polite that I am beginning to like them right there. Did I mention what a great monitor stand the center makes :D

System wise I'm using an Apple Mac as source for my 23K+ songs (YES they're legal!), a auction special Pioneer receiver, NAD amp with a Soundstream SS12R sub and a Paradigm active crossover.

So far, I'm LOVING them. The single driver, being a point source is very precise in its imaging and the inegration with the center blows the soundstage out in every direction - even from 2 feet away. Its a very seductive combination - spot on accuracy when needed and lush spaciousness when the engineer wants it that way. Very smooth! Tonally, I have been playing with a number of EQ settings and end up coming back to flat! Fancy THAT from such inexpensive speakers. The bass integration was very easy to dial in - probably the easiest set up I've EVER had. I have the crossover at about 90hz, which I will play with more tomorrow evening when I have a few more minutes. I am very impressed with how the system holds its tonality at a very wide range of volume levels. I haven't done serious jamming yet, but after we get 'em loosened up with some pink noise and a couple days of aural yoga - we have a date for some headbangin'! I did find that toeing them in did help the image focus considerably - but that is a function of how close I am to them (pic attached.)

How do you have your VT-12 set up??? Do tell

Rock on Hobbit speakers!!!

That's a cool pic. We're thinking of setting up a set of Vents like that at the CES. Can we include your pic in our show?
