The sub comes with 2 RCA input. Do i need to get a splitter so the cable from the receiver get split between those 2 inputs?

No, don't need a splitter. I don't know if HSU recommends using left or right, someone mentioned they did. Most companies just say use either one or both. If you do end up getting a splitter or a sub cable with left and right you will notice a slight signal gain, in that you won't have to turn up the gain on your amp quite as much. A SPL meter registered 4 db higher signal using both left and right compared to one or the other. Remember this only affect amp gain and has nothing to do with overall sub SPL.

Don't need a splitter. Feed the signal into either L or R input. The sub treats both inputs in the same way. Feeding signal into both increases the gain of the amplifier. Our subs tend to have more than enough gain, so I would just feed signal into one input.
