Hi,

My Hsu STF-3 subwoofer has sat unused for the past 6 months as I've been out of work and haven't had time to do anything with my home theater system. It was purchased Nov 30 2006.

Now that things are a little calmer, I was trying to get everything back up and running last night but unfortunately, my STF-3 won't turn on at all. Despite being plugged in to the wall, the power light on the back of the subwoofer doesn't turn on. It doesn't matter if I set it to Auto or ON, the LED remains clear.

I'm completely at a loss as to what to try next and I'm freaking out that my beloved subwoofer is dead. Is there anything I can do to try and revive it?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried checking the fuse?

Thanks! I have not checked the fuse... Is it something that commonly fails?

My subwoofer was configured in Max Extension mode at the factory. Do you know what type of fuse I will need to pick up if it is broken?

I don't. Pete will probably make his rounds shortly and have the answer for you.

I just got home, pulled out the fuse from the back of the subwoofer and it looks fine. Should I try to replace it anyway?
