Received mine last night. I cna not believe the sound quality at this price point. The reviews are very warrented.

FedEx did drop my box, putting a huge hole in the side all the way into the cabinet of the sub. Left a dent, but not worth a return over. But that is FedEx for you(and UPS). Both horrible companies.

Fedex comes to my place and symply puts a note on my door that they will try to deliver again on the 19th while I set in my livingroom from 5 pm to 10 pm waiting. The driver didn't even knock on my door. I kept calling the 800 # until I took my puppy out for a walk and saw the notice. No more FedEx for me.

I am glad that you like the STF 2.

FedEx and UPS are both HORRIBLE companies. Did you know both are now self insured? Yes, that is right, when you pay for insurance, the money goes to them, not to an insurer. Guess what? That means automatic declines on insurance claims. We had our FedEx Rep tell us this when we called and complained about declined insurance claims. They blame it on bad packing jobs. Here are examples:

1 of our boxes, which carried 4 santa figurines($100 each) had a fork lift driven through it. We were declined for inproper packing. Yes, only a solid iron box would have prevented that fork lift from going through the box, which would have cost more than the value of the figurines to ship. This was with UPS.

We had a customer call with a damaged product. We filed a claim. 45 minutes later, yes, 45 minutes later, we were told it was inspected and declined for inproper packing. I called the customer. The box was still sitting there, and no one from UPS had been there to look at it, let along pick it up for the damage claim. After this one we switched to FedEx, expecting better service.

About 6 monthes ago with FedEx, ready made valances arrived back at out store with a damage claim tag on it. We had NEVER filed a damage claim. Value was $400. The box was dripping wet. Our driver said somethign about seeing a FedEx truck in the middle of a river in New Jersey, and maybe that is what happened. We opened the box to find all of the colors bled together. We were offered $100 for the damage claim. Whole sale was more than double that.

We just deduct the insurance claims that are denied out of our monthly bill and tell them to take us to court about it. Not once have they stopped pick ups from our store, nor have the requested the money or turned us into a credit collector. They know that if it went to small claims(which is a god send of a court), they will get busted.

Here is the kicker. I have had two friends, one working at FedEx and one at UPS in their hubs, while going to college. Both of them explain that the conveyer belts drop packages from 2 feet to 2 stories onto another conveyer belt. It does nto matter how heavy, or if it is marked as fragile, they all do it.

The only shipping service we have never had one problem with is the USPS. We use their Priority Mail, which is 3 day delivery, but 2 day average. The problem is it is onyl good for light weight items, heavey items get too expensive to ship.

Oh, and I hear you on Fedex and their deliveries. I always order from newegg.com for computer parts. I use their 2.99(or whatever it is) same day shipping charge, to get it out that day. I had been tracking my package, and on a Friday, it was ont he truck for delivery. That day i was at home working, instead of at the store.

Outside, I see the FedEx truck go by, turn around in the circle. I go down to my front door only to watch the FedEx truck to continue driving by. WTH?

I call FedEx. Oh, they say, it does nto ahve to be dropped off until Monday, so we will nto drop it off today. I say what are you talking about, it is on the truck and went BY my house. It wa 30 feet away from me and you do nto drop it off because it does nto have to be dropped off until, the latest, MONDAY?????

So, instead of waiting 2 more days for the harddrive I needed badly, I had to drive 30 minutes to the hub it was at to pick it up.

Sorry for the soap box preaching. But I hate FedEx and UPS and will spread the word on how bad these companies will screw you over.

I ship with USPS Priority to my customers.
My inventory comes with UPS from all over the country and has been bullet proof. Not recommending UPS, it is just my experience.
I like the postal service, but I don't ship heavy boxes.
