I've noticed other posters here commenting they place the sub similar to end table.

Do any of you take some precaution to avoid people or kids placign or spilling drinks on the sub and resultantly the destroying the amp? If so what?

Since my living/family/dining/kitchen room is a very large rectangle, Dr Hsu was suggesting if I'm not willing to get two subs that I consider placing my VTF 3.3 near the listening environment so the direct/reflected ratio is high and the sub sounds loud in listening environment irrespective of the room size.

Have a piece of glass cut for the top. Thats what I have on my PB13 to protect its finish. I don't have to worry about people, but my cats claws are rather damaging to most surfaces.
