View Full Version : Theater For Two

I have done a sketch of my small 5.1 theater. Everything is fairly close to scale. In the pic you will see the location of the TV, Speakers, and Seating. (Those leather chairs seems huge, but true to scale.) The speakers have been ordered, so they have not been placed into the room yet. The TV and Seating is in place.

Questions:

1. Where would be the ideal location of an HTU STF-2?
2. Is the location of the rear surrounds in the optimal position?

Other observations or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe

I'd put them behind the chairs. (ideal location)

The surrounds or the sub? I assume you are talking about the surrounds. This has definitely crossed my mind, and precisely the reason I asked these questions prior to mounting the surrounds. I personally believe the best location would be mounted on a 45 degree angle in the corners, but that would possibly require shelves to do so.

Thanks for the response.

the sub!

Every time that I spoke with the Dr. he suggested the sub be put behind the listener. The surrounds are fine. m2c.

Thanks for the clarification. Threw me a curve with the comment about putting them behind the chairs. No bigger than this room is, I'm hoping I can get away with a single sub in this lower end system.
