I recently had something go wrong with one of my VTF3-MKII's Dr. Hsu was very nice to fix the amp that was out of warranty but I was totally shocked at the quality of the cabinet when I took out the woofer for him to check both, the hole for the drive literatly crumbled in my hand his suggestion was to use wooden chop sticks for the screws to grab onto to hold the driver in place :) as many of you know the sound is very good from these subs but the quailty sucks I must move on to something with a little more sturder cabinet so two piano black VTF3-MKII's are for sale I am afraid now when I put the driver back in I won't be able to screw it down so that it stays put I might be down to one sub in my setup soon. :(

Its hard to tell from your post what happened? Did the screw holes strip out? If so you can use wood filler, drill it, and screw it. Problem solved. Not sure if thats what happened though.

Sounds about right to me, I've repaired many a stripped wood screw hole with a dab of glue and a toothpick. That sort of thing is a very permanent repair and shouldn't cause any issues at all.

Most subs are made from the same particle board. I must say that the quality of materials in my 3.3 Turbo is the same as any other sub in the same price range. Make the fix as suggested and enjoy the sub!

Now at some point in the future, add the MBM-12! You'll hear bass like never before!
