No disrespect to HSU, but the more I play with this VTF3 MKII and the Turbo, the more I am unhappy with it.

Any chance HSU has a trade in program so I can upgrade to the VTF3 HO?

Anyone interested in purchasing my VFT3 MKII?

Thanks,
Nick

Figured I would give a little more info so I don't sound like I'm bashing HSU.

I've owned my VTF3 MKII for a couple of years now. Always living in apartments and houses with smaller livingrooms, I never needed anything more than this.
Now that I purchased a new home, the livingroom is quite a bit larger than what I've had before(15x20). It has valted ceilings, and an open floor plan that conects to the kitchen(10x20). The VTF3 MKII just wasn't cutting it anymore(to my specs) with such a large space. I'm kind of a bass junkie :D

Called a talked to Dr. HSU. I asked about adding the MBM to the mix, and wondering if that would take care of my needs. He actually recomended going the cheaper route, and adding the Turbo to the VTF3 MKII. So I ordered it.

Fed Ex delivered it yesterday, and I played around with it all afternoon, and into the evening. It sounds SOOOOO much better with the Turbo. I can't believe how just something as simple as this is, could make it sound that much better. But I have 1 complaint, and it's a pretty major complaint in my book. I just can't get the Turbo to seal properly against the ports on the sub. Now, normal movie playing, it sounds GREAT! But when I get to a scene in a movie where there is a huge explosion or something like that, the seal between the Turbo and sub leaks air, and I can hear it.

I messed around with this thing for a few hours yesterday, and nothing I did helped with the louder explosions, and scenes with heavy bass. I went over and over with the depth charge scene in U571, adjusting the connection between the sub and Turbo and replaying the scene over and over. I just can't get it where I want it.

So, before anyone reads to much into my first post on here, I just wanted to make it clear that I am not bashing any products or Dr. HSU. After all, I am trying to match up 2 components that really weren't made to go together. Even though he recomended it, I still do not hold Dr. HSU or anyone at HSU Research accountable for this. You guys make some amazing products, and offer them to us at a very affordable price.
