How about a special on the HB-1 and HC-1? I'm thinking about upgrading from the VT-12s and keeping my STF-1.

Will there be any announcements about the
"new business model" that was hinted about? :)

I don't think I'll speak about the new business model just yet, because it may take a fair amount of time for us to move in that direction.
However, for everyone coming to T.H.E. SHOW, I promise you will be very impressed with the demo! Looking forward to seeing you there Ddavidson!

Be good to put faces to Hsu names. I am in and out on the 9th (by sp invitation) so I can listen to a new set of stereo speakers (which I may buy).
What can I say but I am still a "two channel music only guy" and HT just doesn't do anything for me.

Is it me or is it harder than usual to find broad in-depth coverage of CES exhibitors this year. We are now into the second day and I'm seeing little of substance.
How about someone posting here about what's new with Hsu!

I think most of the headlines have been stolen by Warner dropping support of HD-DVD and what will happen next?

Someone at the avsforums visited the Hsu booth yesterday during their demo and there was a prototype in the back of the room that was playing 16Hz pipe organ notes like no other Hsu sub has done in the past. The word is this new work-in-progress prototype is ruler-flat to 10Hz. However, as to the size of the driver, the Hsu reps kept a tight-lip. The "avsforumer" who attended the demo said there were 2 prototypes in the back of the room and he could only guess the enclosure was about the same size as the current VTF-3's.
2008 will indeed be an interesting year at Hsu Research.

Ray,
Could you share with the forum what you heard (and felt...:) ) at the HSU demo?
Were you able to see the prototype?

Forums are saying the subs were flat to 10hz, and about the same size as the VTF3 series (very small for that!) accompanied by an MBM-12, but somewhat deeper. Very positive comments about the sound as well.
Driver size, design, etc. were being kept very hush hush.
It seems to me the only way they could be that small is if they are ONLY designed to go up to 50hz max which would require it being paired with an MBM... but even then the size is quite a feat. I guess we will have to wait on details.

If it has a small footprint like the MBM-12, then it should be about the same price? Anyway, looking forward to seeing it.

I'm not sure that you can say a similarly-sized sub will necessarily have the same-sized price ;)
There are some very small models out there (from other companies) that have 4-digit price tags.

The demo was interesting and the sound from the speakers and subs were excellent in music and the movie demo. The music at the lower end was something to be felt:D as were the mids.
Also could not resist the deal on the VTF-3 HO, ordered a black one and my friend ordered the maple...can not wait for that to arrive;)

Lots of specualtion on what the new sub is? I hope that is something that will compliment the MBM-12 as that would be fantastic!
