I'm Looking to purchase my first subwoofer. I have a 6.1 Klispch reference system without a sub. At the time I purchased the system I didn't have an extra $1000 for the sub. My room is about 3600 cu ft with cathedral ceilings. 90% of the time I'll be watching movies. My wife is not to excited about getting a sub so I don't want to go to big. Would the VFT-1 be OK. I live down by San Diego and would love to come up to the showroom for a demo.

Thanks

Would the VFT-1 be OK.

For a 3,600 cu. ft. room, a VTF-1 would be way too small. My theater is around 2,500 cu. ft. and I'm running two Turbo HO's and an MBM-12. Don't have any WAF problems here.

If you're not going to step up to at least a VTF-3.3 you'll be majorly disappointed. Your only other choice is to look at other brands that make small sealed box subs. Sure, you could buy a couple of small subs, but WTF?

Just go ahead and buy the Turbo HO or 3.3 and the MBM-12. Unless you have to ask your wife's permission.....
Come on and grow a set! ;)

Hi ohills,

With your room size, it would be ideal to go with at least a VTF-2 Mk3.

Definitely come to the office if you can. Anyone who pays in cash is entitled to a 10% discount (to help offset the California tax which is always added back in at 7.75%).

Sincerely,
