View Full Version : Sub and surround interaction

Presently I've got my HO corner loaded between my couch and lovechair at a 45 degree angle. Looking to place a small front ported tower speaker into that corner as well - rear surround (6.1). My receiver global x-over is set @ 80 Hz. What interactions, interference can I expect between the HO and the tower? Or is this something that is not recommended? I'd rather not raise the tower high enough of the floor so it would be above the HO.

Thanx for any comments/suggestions.

amd, will you be placing this tower next to the HO, with the HO woofer firing into the tower?

No, approximately 8" port to port distance.

Due to the pressure wave of the low frequency of the HO I'm guestimating that there might/could be issues but am not sure.

Oh ok, I see what you are saying. I don't think that should pose any problem...
