Is there any noticeable difference between these two on both movies and music discounting the VTF's adjustable port settings? How much more air does one 10" driver move compared to two 8" drivers?

Sasha would know that but I think you mean STF1

They both have 1 10" driver, and HSU claims they sound the same, but the woofers are slightly different, as is the amp.

The STF-1 has a single 8" driver.

With the VTF-2 in deep bass mode it is almost impossible to hear a difference either way. Physical size, look, finish and porting location/s are the only other differences of note. If you need a higher output down to 32Hz then the VTF-2 may be a good option to take. I myself also like the more robust VTF-2 textured finish. But then again some people think a sub should be furniture. Me....... its more about SQ and the daily practicality of scratches and knocks.

I'm sorry, when I said one 10" driver vs. two 8" drivers, I was referring to the STF-2 vs. my two 8" main speaker drivers. I'm just trying to decide how much sub I need.
