Analog spl meter?

In the manual for my VFT2-MK3, it says to get an analog spl meter. Why not a digital? At Radio Shack they are only $5 different in price.

Digital ones are not as accurate as the analog ones. In this case the needle of the analog will show you trends. The display bargraph is too small to read once you have it setup and the digits don't show ".1" increments. HTH
