I started the post, "did I order the wrong speakers? (http://forum.hsuresearch.com/showthread.php?t=4692)
48 people have viewed it and no one has responded. Perhaps there is an edicate here I do not understand and I have violated it? Perhaps I gave too much info?
My question is really simple; will two VT-254's work adequately as rear surrounds on a system other than the VT-12 or do I need to order something else.
If someone can answer this for me I would really appreciate it as if they are wrong I would like to cancel prior to shipping and order the HC-1's instead.
Thanks,
Mike

Best advice from me is to call Pete first thing tomorrow morning(think they open at 9am on the west coast).
I know absolutely nothing about these speakers you've ordered.

Thanks for the reply; I was afraid only I could see my post. I shouldn' t be too concerned; they haven't shipped yet and the shipping for both is only 20 bucks plus whatever it costs me to return them.
I really would like the larger speakers as rear surrounds but don't have the room (according to the wife),

-Mike,
I have not heard the VT-12's just read comments and of course I am looking hard at them also.
IMHO, any rears, bookshelfs or Sat's would work and probably make you happy!
I just see rear surrounds for little noise (sad, but true). The rears never work as hard as the most important speaker for dialog which is the center. IMHO in home theater, the center is the most focal point of a home theater, then the sub, then the front L/R and then last- rear surrounds.
This is what I plan to do if I get the VT-12's. I will run the front L/R and center (vt-12 / hook the L/R to Vt-12 center channel) and then use my Polk R15's for rear surround.
