I'm just receiving my Aperion towers, center channel and surrounds but held off on a sub. I want to order the VTF-3 HO Subwoofer but have some concerns about its musical ability vs home theater duty. My current set up consists of the Aperion speaks coupled to a Pioneer VSX-94TXH receiver@140 wpc x 7(starting out with 5.1 for now). My listening wll be split 50/50 between tv,movies and music and one sub to do it all if possible. I do plan on buying the mbm-12 later once we move into the new house late this year.
Thanks for the help guys!

You will like it very much. It is as good for movie slam as it is for music accuracy and articulation...

FP, the VTF-3 HO is definitely musical, and it has a very linear frequency response. Considering that you plan to add MBM-12 in the future anyway, then the HO is the way to go.
