Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my thread. I have a few questions regarding the HSU Performance packages.

I am currently living in an apartment and the room where the system is to be installed is approximately 19'x12'. I am not so much concerned with bass thumping as I do not want to disturb the neighbors. Will the Performance 1 suffice?

Also, I'm a bit torn between the Definitive Technology ProCinema 60 (yes, the older model to save money) and the Performance 1.

I think I can get a ProCinema 60 for less than $400 including shipping, while the Performance 1 will cost me upwards of $200 more. Is there enough performance value to warrant the additional money?

Sound quality is important, but I do live in an apartment so at the same time I will not be pushing either system to the limits.

All feedback is appreciated and again thank you for your time.

aika, how high are your ceilings? Does your theater room open to any other areas?

Thanks!

Thank you for the quick reply. My floor plan can be found in the following link: http://www.careltonapartments.com/plans.asp It is the "Garden" plan. The room opens into a hallway of course and also has a bar between it and the kitchen. The ceiling is 8'.

Thanks for the link, aika! I would go with the Performance 2 package in your room, as the STF-2 sub should do a nice job filling the room. Just keep in mind that the VT-12 system may not be back in stock until early to mid-February at the earliest.

Sincerely,
