New member here looking at your product.

Here is my question--I am replacing an old Boston Acoustics VR500 that my son turned up a bit too loud. This model had a 100W amp. It has been performing quite well in the room I had it in. The size of the entire room is 15x32x8 which equates to 3840 ft. However, the way I have the speakers and furniture arranged, the listening area is only about 15x18x8, which drops it down to 2160 ft.

I am looking at either the VTF-1 or the VTF2-Mk3. I am wondering if, since the BA unit seemed to fill the room well enough, the VTF-1 would suffice even though the entire room seems to suggest going with the larger unit.

When determining room size, we have to take into account all openings to other areas too. With that in mind, I would definitely go with at least a VTF-2 Mk3 if possible.

Sincerely,

Not to try and trump Mr. Hsu as he is the defining word around here, but count me as a resounding vote for the 2.3. It'll flat shake your foundation :D

VTF2-MK3 ordered yesterday. Can't wait to get it in and hooked up!
