Hi,

I saw some of the conversation in this forum regarding using VTF to replace MBM. Which one is better

a) VTF-3 MK3(low frequency) + VTF-2 MK2(high frequency, crossover >60hz)
b) VTF-3 MK3(low frequency) + STF2 (high frequency, crossover >60hz)

My intention using STF2, is to lower cost.

Also i was wondering, how could you connect two subwoofer to a receiver, whereby a receiver only contain one subwoofer output.

"Y" splitter, either at the reciever or at the subwoofers. I have 3 subs running using "Y" splitters, 2 MBM-12's and 1 3.3 Turbo.

Hi, does this decrease the quality as well as the power supply to the subwoofer?

Hi bryan,

The current VTF-1 is similar to the VTF-2 Mk2, and actually has an equally strong amplifier (underrated amp power). So the VTF-1 is definitely an improvement over the STF-2, although the latter is less expensive too. Note that only the VTF subwoofers have a voltage selector switch on the back of the amplifier that will let one easily switch from 120V to 240V, while the STF subs need some modification to the amp to switch to 240V.

Regarding the y-splitter, it shouldn't reduce quality/power, and using two subwoofers is just fine.

Sincerely,
