Eagerly Awaiting the new speakers..

I am new to the HT world and HSU research. I started out building a HT around a monster 73" Mitsu DLP. Well, as I was doing my speaker research I came across the HSU system. I set a session to listen to them at your facility. They had the new prototype HB-1's set up. Let me just say, "WOW" these were the most impressive speakers I have ever heard. I am not a audiophile, but I have a good ear for crisp clean sound, and these speakers deliver! Now, I am setting up my HT around these speakers! They are larger than the previous speakers I was looking at especially the center speaker. So now I am going with a Sony XBR KDL-52XBRwith a Sony STR-DA3200ES 7.1 Channel Surround Sound A/V Receiver. The reason is so I can fit the center speaker under the wall mounted TV. I do have a question, I am thinking about usuing my TV as a monitor, and placing my computer next to my audio equip. From the reviews I have read your speakers are not magnetically shielded, will I have problems with having my CPU near them? Second question, how much difference will there be in the pricing on the new speakers compare to the current price's? Thank you for making a system affordable to the masses.

Hey Louis, thanks so much for the positive feedback, we are very honored that you thought so highly of the speakers!

I think as long as you keep one or two feet of space in between the speakers and the computer, then you shouldn't have any problems at all. Even the subwoofer--which has a much larger magnet than the bookshelf speaker--only needs a couple of feet of space in between to prevent the hard drive from potentially being erased.

Thanks Pete, are you "the Dr." ? Pricing on the package should be about how much more for the new speakers? I have read about 50-60 per speaker, how does that effect the package pricing? Like I said, I am really eager to get these in my home, I will drive and pick them up when they are available! Also, any plans to put any kind of hardware to mount the speakers on the stands?

The prices for the new speakers are now reflected on our website. The new Enthusiast/Ultimate package prices were also adjusted upwards on our website, but I think they will increase $50 more since the price wasn't adjusted for the new horn center.

Perfect! What about in the different finishes? Price difference? So can I order the speaker system now? Or should I wait until they are realeased?

I'm not sure yet what we will charge for the wood finishes, but we should have a better idea over the next month or so. It's probably ok to just wait until the new speakers are in, as it will be cleanest that way.
