I recently downloaded a room equalizer wizard from Home Theater Shack and was wondering how to use it. I assume you hook an spl meter directly to a pc. do you just use a 3.5 mm stereo plug and connect directly to the microphone in on the soundcard? would i use a cord like the one at the link below? also would there be an issue running a 25' or 50' cord from my bedroom (where the pc is) to the spl meter in the living room? if thats how you connect the spl meter think i could figure it out from there. If i need to do measurements now i have to manually measure frequencies one by one which royally sucks. lol
