How do you connect the + with the + and the - with the negative if you use connectors? I am clueless and not a DIY guy. I mean if I were to order speaker cables on line how do I explain?

Go to the page for Ventriloquist Setup and look for the frown face thread. You will find a discussion of this subject, along with a picture of the ONLY banana plugs that have been found to fit.

You need to use a short section of wire to connect between the plugs so red is to red and black is to black. My primary cables are 12GA. I used 16GA as the jumpers, twisted them with the 12GA, and they just fit in the holes. Works fine.

Those plugs use solder attachment, not screws. Be sure to use rosin core solder.
