Need Help with new stf-2

I bought a new surround system for Christmas-- everything is new and took a long time to get hooked up--- Haman Kardon 520 receiver-- polk lsi9 fronts- lsic center-- rti 28 rears- HSU stf-2 sub-- toshiba 36 hd tv-- toshiba 4800 dvd- sony vcr- panamax 5100 line conditioner.---- After finaly getting everything hooked up and running the sub sounded great-- all speakers set to small-- 80 on crossover-- sub--one port open at 25htz line out volume at about 75%-- placed sub behind sitting area-- at first while watching tv the sub sounded like a small pop like an atomizer and the bass on tv would stop then later another small pop and the sub woul be working again. I checked all of conections and went through the on screen display and can't find anything wrong---- at first I thought that it was just part of the breaking in process but the time between sub going of and on became worse--- so I SHUT OFF THE SUB------- PLEASE help I realy would appreciate it the sub sounds great when it is working THANK YOU

Sounds like it "could be" interference coming from outside the sub.

Check a few things.
Is it electrical interference from an a temp controlled A/C or heater clicking on/off?
Is it interference from a dimmer or fluorescent light starter?
Is it from a fridge or freezer kicking in?

Is this pop from the sub going into sleep mode prematurely?

I would look at taking it off the current power curcuit and run a long lead from a different power outlet that runs off a different fuse/curcuit breaker.

I would also try it without the Panamax just to eliminate an excess current drawing problem. (I can not remember the 5100)
