I need to get a cable to connect my Denon 3803 to the STF-1 and wondered what type of connection I'll need. I assume just a single rca-rca cable but wanted to double check.

A single RCA jack should be fine. Even if it is a stereo input, your single RCA jack would result in 6dB less gain, which could be compensated by increasing the level knob on the sub.

Thanks...although I don't quite get your "even if it is a stereo input" comment. On the back panel of the STF-2 it says "use only if no sub out" over the stereo inputs". So why would I use the stereo inputs given my 3803 has a sub out?

I guess what I'm reading in your post is the stereo jacks are preferrable....

All Lwang means is that it is possible that there could be left and right low level (RCA) connections on the back. If there are, it should be ok to plug into just one. You get a bit more gain if you use a splitter and plug into both, but you can compensate for that by turning up the gain on the subwoofer amp.
