I am normally of the impression that more bass is better but I can use some more convincing. I am planning a 12x17 dedicated HT room. I plan to use Paradigm Studio 20s for fronts with 7.2. Should I instead buy floor standers so that I can cross them over lower and run the subs in max extention mode?

Is this overkill for a room this small? I am set on two subs but should I use smaller subs?

Overkill does not exist.Balance everything and it will sound very good! Buy as big sub as you can!
