I talk about my MBM-12's and 3.3's so here is some pics of my setup. Mains and surrounds are running as "Large" with a 80 hz crossover. MBM's and 3.3's are calibrated "hot" (78 - 80 hz) by reciever pink tone. Sytem puts out the bass when called for with no problems. Those that question running large vs small; well I feel that you miss too much detail in the audio track when running small and you can see from my setup that those big Polk SDA SRS 2.3's love the power. With these big speakers I can pump up the volume and have no distortion in audio and the clarity and detail is astounding. I have Polk Monitor 10's as my L & R surrounds with JBL E50's for rear surounds.

There was nothing being played at the time. One stays on longer then the other, why? I don't really know.

I was listening to some "Steely Dan" today and all I can say is, "WOW"! The mid-bass and bass is terrific and it changes the way you listen to music.

yeah I have the 2AN (two against nature) CD - it is awesome. I wonder how much better the DVD-A or SACD is.

Check out Amazon.com for some reviews. Some of the reviews were not kind to the DVD's. I would like to try SACD if they have it.

When I first read this I thought you were making some reference to the Steely Dan Album called Aja. Then two post down Bsoko mentions he was listening to Steely Dan. Weird.

Bill-
I am also running the CS350LS center along with my LS50 mains and RT600i surrounds. Bought the 50's and 350 back in '96 and they've treated me well. I noticed you mentioned upgaded crossover in your 350. Can you elaborate? Is that a Polk part? Is it a DIY job? What is the benefit, to more closely match your SDA's (love them BTW) or some other reason?
Inquiring minds want to know.........

Resistor technology has gotten better since the 350's were built. The crossover was a DIY and it handles the latest HD audio formats. I had a guy in Georgia do it and there is alot of info on vintage polks at: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/ and click on the "Vintage Speaker" thread. They are a great bunch of guys and can help with all manner of issues.
