Hello to all on the forum. I first would like to thank everyone for making my decision to purchase a HSU sub an easy one. I did a lot of research and spent quite a bit of time lurking here reading glowing post after glowing post. The positive reviews I read here and elsewhere did not in any way prepare me for what Dr. Hsu hath wrought.

I got into the surround sound game years ago with the purchase of a Kenwood HTIB. At the time I thought it was the goods. Little did I know how much better it could get. Many years and many hours of interwebs searching later I came to the realization that I owned complete crap. After replacing my TV and reciever (Samsung HLT5687 and Yamaha RX-V663) I decided to start on the speakers. I decided to start with the sub. The research mentioned above led me to HSU. The main reason for buying from Dr.Hsu was the fact that he is on the forum every day. I was extremely impressed by this level of involvement. Now I cannot lie here. My buddy who is himself just getting into the unhealthy hobby of HT looked at me sideways when I said I was buying a sub that I had never heard from an internet only company that he had never heard of. I was not the least bit scared. But I digress.

What the good doctor has created is simply astounding. After hooking it up and doing a basic calibration I threw in "Master and Commander". I figured 'hey, its got cannons'. When the first shot came across from the Acheron I was assaulted by a wave of sound and physical energy. This is when I started giggling. Uncontrolable giggles. This sub hit so hard I thought it was going to break my house. I'm serious. Break. House. Once I got my near hysterical laughter under control I went back and wathced it again. And again. I expected a large improvement over my old sub but nothing like this.

Every day I turn my system on I smile. I have never enjoyed an electronics purchase as much as this. It's simply amazing and at this price point deserves much, much more recognition. The only problem is that now I've realized that the rest of my speakers quite simply will not do. Hmm...those Axiom M60's sure look nice. Oh well, gotta feed that unhealthy habit.

Thanks for listening. Thanks for the information. And lastly, thank you Dr Hsu for making such an incredible product.

Thank you so much Damon, it's an honor and a pleasure to have people such as you on board!

Presumably you are just using the sub with one port plugged at the moment?

Thanks again, and enjoy!

Sincerely,

That's correct. So far in my listening this is the setup I prefer.
