This is a great forum! After doing much research I am leaving towards purchasing a VTF-2 MK 3. I was a bit disappointed to see these speakers are not in stock. I need to have this entire project completed by the third week of June so I need the sub delivered around the second week of June. When is the VTF-2 MK 3 expected to be in stock?

My other question has to do with speakers... This will be setup in the living room for 65% music 35% movies. To keep the walls free for artwork, I am leaving towards having all 5 speakers in the ceiling. I'd love to hear some recommendations for good quality in-ceiling speakers that will play well with the VTF-2 MK 3.

I am thinking about getting 5 Klipsch CDT-3650-C or CDT-5650-C to mount on the celing. Is this a good choice. I'd love to hear of any recommendations.

Thanks!

Are you deadset on in wall speakers? Some nice bookshelf speakers would sound great with that sub. I own a VTF2-MK3 with Ascend Acoustics and it sounds great with the combo. Personally i think it would sound better that in wall speakers but ive never heard in wall speakers either. heres a link to their site if you wanna check it out. also ill include a link to the front speakers i own. I think they are on sale actually.

We hope to have the VTF-2 MK3 back in stock by early to middle of June. Shipping is quite fast, and should take no more than a week even all the way to the East Coast.

I'll let you guys know as soon as we get more info on availability.

Thanks

Thanks. This is for a delivery to Maryland. I hope it is ready for shipping by early June as I'd hate to start my research all over again because I have to have this by about June 18 to complete a project :)

If anyone else could chime in on my choice of speakers, I'd really appreciate it. I'd really like to have the speakers in the living room hidden so i ceiling spekars seem to be the way to go and I'm trying to find the best ones I can get (and afford!). Even if I get bookshelf speakers there is no way I can really hide the surround speakers...

As far as In-Ceiling speakers there are some good ones out there but they aren't as easy to find as bookshelf speakers. The Formula series from BIC is what my friend used during his remodel. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they sounded.

One problem I have with in-wall or in-ceiling speakers is that you become very limited on how you can rearrange the room since the speakers can't be moved or their position adjusted. In the case of the Formula they do have a pivoting horn so they can be fine tuned somewhat.

Make sure you do the math for the room layout to get the speakers positioned correctly since you won't be able to do more than minor adjustments once they're installed.

Good Luck,
Ken
