I have been lurking for a while and I don't see many users of the STF-1.

I have a pair of Opera Platea driven by an SF 300B amp. Right now I am staying in an apartment so a small sub would be all I need (the big ones simply won't fit). I have quite a few choices but I have narrowed down to the HSU STF-1 or the Pinnacle SubSonic (for the size). The Sunfire simply would not work for music reproduction so they were ruled out from the start. I thought about the Opera sub, but that thing is huge.

Anyone with positive comments about STF-1 in particular? I am a classical musician (singer, but loves other instruments, too) and I am very critical of music reproduction; I don't care much about home theater application. It will be connected in parallel with the Opera (I read that it has a 1k input impedance, correct?).

Thanks a bunch.

I have an STF-1 that I am using with the Ventriloquist system in a HT mode. It sounds very good. Not sure how it will do for you. If you can afford a slightly bigger one, I also have the VTF-2 which is great for the size and money. It may be a better match for you.

Good luck!
