I want to use a REW to get a better response out of my subwoofer. Where can I go to download a REW program? Is there a certain program that is better than others? The other thing I was wondering is if it would work if I used a calibration microphone that came with my Onyko receiver with a REW?

The REW home page is here (http://www.hometheatershack.com/roomeq/). There is also a forum you can access if you sign up, which is free, to be a member.
No, you cannot use the Audyssey calibration mic. Its calibration curve is not published, it is regraded as proprietary information by Audyssey, and its connector is mono, not stereo, so it does not fit the stereo inputs the computer needs.
If you are only interested in measuring the sub or mid range frequencies, the mic output from a Radio Shack SPL meter works. Examples of this can be found in the REW helpfile, also available online (http://www.hometheatershack.com/roomeq/wizardhelpv5/help_en-GB/html/gettingstarted.html#top). If you are interested in accurately measuring full range to ~20kHz, you need an individually calibrated microphone and a pre-amp with phantom power. Herb at Cross-Spectrum Labs (http://www.cross-spectrum.com/) builds a calibration file for each microphone he sells. More details can be found in the forum.
