Hello all,

I am new to this forum sobe easy on me. I am trying to decide which sub to go with, the VTF-2 or 3. I have done tons of research on subs and these two subs keep coming up as the best. So, with that being sadi here is my layout:

My home theater is being set up in my basement. There are no windows in the basement and the room dimensions are 11X22. I have standard sheet rock walls and the ceiling is a hanging ceiling about 8' high. The floor is cement with a tight berber carpet over it. I know, not the best choice for a home theater room. I am running Bohlender+Graebener ribbon speakers set up as a 7.1 system. Which sub would be best for this room size? Will the cement floor dampen the sound? I am leaning towards the VTF-3 but was wondering if I really need it.

Regards,

Ben

Since it's a basement, I'm guessing there are no large unclosable openings to adjacent rooms. In that case the VTF-2 is loud enough.

The VTF-3 not only plays louder, but goes deeper than the VTF-2. It also has a rubber surround.

I strongly recommend you try our Product Recommendation Form (http://www.hsuresearch.com/support/index.php?id=36). It will give Dr. Hsu the information he needs to make a good recommendation
